The Union County Genealogical Society (UCGS) will host a Southwest Iowa Regional Genealogy Conference on Saturday, 15 June 2019 at the O’Riley Center, 417 Wyoming Avenue, Creston, Iowa.

Alice Hoyt Veen, Certified Genealogist of Prairie Roots Research, will present four workshops through-out the day supporting the conference theme of “Digging for Genealogy Treasurer”.  Session one is “Introduction to Courthouse Research: A Treasurer Trove for Family Historians” followed by “Courthouse Research: Wills and Probates”.  After lunch, Session three will cover “Government Land Distribution: Public Lands to Private Hands”.  The last session for the day will be “Local Land Records: Dig In”.  For more detail on these topics and the complete schedule for the day or to print out a registration form to mail in, visit www.unioncgs.org
