Historical newspapers provide a unique insight into the culture of the times.  They add context for a more complete and interesting picture of your ancestors’ lives.  In some instances, you may be able to break through your brick wall!  Using live demonstrations and step-by-step instruction, Renee Cue will share her process and organization using historical newspapers and texts as resources to identify and discover the rich stories about her ancestors and their families.  Renee will go into detail about finding newspaper sites (both free and paid), capturing articles, and attaching them in popular genealogy software.  This is an expanded discussion with an opportunity for you to bring up questions.  Attendees will receive a reference sheet with valuable resources.

The 1950 Census has been released without an index, have you found yourself?

Two new special interest groups, Beginning Genealogy and African American, and a new Mastering Genealogical Proof class are also be available.
